While watching the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Slytherin, Hermione wears her first hand knit items - a house scarf (featured tomorrow) and her hand knit gloves.These simple grey gloves are the epitome of Hermione wear - completely functional, perfectly neutral so as to be worn every day, and without frill and fuss.
To make a pair of gloves like Hermione's, any glove pattern may be used. I like to imagine these are gloves Hermione's mother made for her and sent in her trunk so she'd have something of home and the Muggle world with her as she learned magic.
